More than a ride: café, community and a shared cause

There are events that go far beyond what happens on paper.

The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride began as an initiative linked to the world of classic motorcycles and men's health, but over time it has become something much bigger: a global community that, once a year, brings thousands of people together for a common cause.

Next Sunday, 17 May, Palma will once again be part of that route.

And this year, Marabans will be there with their coffee truck at the meeting and starting point of the route, accompanying a morning where motorcycles, coffee, and people share the spotlight almost equally.

Because often these kinds of encounters aren't just about the journey. They're about everything that happens before setting off.

Spontaneous conversations.
People reuniting.
The rumble of motorbikes mingling with the sound of a coffee machine.
The first coffee of the morning before starting the route.

There's something special about those moments when people who probably don't know each other too well end up sharing space around common interests, routines, and little things.

And perhaps that's why we wanted to be a part of it.

Not from an overly prominent position nor attempting to turn it into another campaign, but simply by being present in a context that we feel is quite close to our way of understanding coffee: as a meeting point, as a pause, and as part of experiences that happen outside the home and around people.

The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride also maintains an important charitable dimension, focused on prostate cancer research and men's mental health, causes that have been part of the event's DNA since its inception and which manage to mobilise thousands of riders around the world each year.

This Sunday, 17 May, we will be in Palma sharing coffee before the start of the route.

See you there.
