We transcribe part of the interview with Mario Mola conducted by Toni Terrades, journalist at IB3 TV at the Marabans headquarters in Can Picafort.

Toni Terrades:  Tell us a little bit about how you ended up being an ambassador for Marabans ....

Mario Mola: The world of sport is closely related to the world of coffee, especially with the world of cycling, but it is true that triathlon has had a very big boom here in the Islands, and we spend part of the season concentrated here with the training group, in the Hotel Viva Playa de Muro, and they work with Marabans... and they also know that I am a coffee lover. Not just drinking it but the whole process behind it... and they gave me the opportunity to meet the Marabans group.

They came and gave me a Master Class with the coffee machine and this is where this relationship came about... initially of learning, of wanting to know more about coffee, about the company (Marabans) and since last year in the form of sponsorship and to take the Marabans name wherever I compete, all over the world.

T T: It's very important that the coffee is good, among triathletes, you know where to go for coffee, because this good coffee has an impact on your performance.

MM: That's right, we were talking about it earlier. The first time we met, we talked about it with the members of Marabans... and I think that in general, in Spain, not only in Mallorca, this coffee culture has always been more difficult, but I think that it is something that is growing and that people value good coffee more and more every day. This desire on the part of Marabans in the coffee sector, to want to make good coffee, to go towards excellence and not just be satisfied with a regular coffee.  And it is true that nowadays, one adapts a little and knows where the good cafés are, where the good coffee shops are... and as we have said in the world of cycling, we go for a ride and it's 3 hours... and we wonder where to go for a snack and a good coffee. Marbans has the road and this address, and for me to be able to go hand in hand, it's fabulous.
